EMOLUMENTS: At present, initial monthly emoluments of Junior Management Grade Scale I Officers, including DA, HRA, CCA, are approximately Rs. 18000/- in a Metropolitan Centre.Allowances may vary depending upon the place of posting.

PROBATION PERIOD: Selected candidates will be on probation for a period of two years.

Eligibility criteria

Nationality/Citizenship: A candidate must be either (i) a citizen of India or (ii) a subject of Nepal or (iii) a subject of Bhutan or (iv) a Tibetan Refugee who came over to India before 1st January 1962 with the intention of permanently settling in India or (v) a person of Indian origin who has migrated from Pakistan, Burma, Sri Lanka, East African countries of Kenya, Uganda, the United Republic of Tanzania (formerly Tanganyika and Zanzibar), Zambia, Malawi, Zaire, Ethiopia and Vietnam with the intention of permanently settling in India, provided that a candidate belonging to categories (ii), (iii), (iv) & (v) above shall be a person in whose favour a certificate of eligibility has been issued by the govt of India. A candidate in whose case a certificate of eligibility is necessary may be admitted to the examination and/or interview but on final selection the offer of appointment may be given only after the necessary eligibility certificate has been issued to him by the govt of India

Educational qualifications: A degree in any discipline with 55% or more marks in aggregate from a recognized university in India or any equivalent qualification recognized as such by central govt (50% or more marks in the case of SC/ST/PwD candidates)
The educational qualification prescribed for the post is the minimum
Candidates must specifically indicated the class/division and percentage of marks obtained calculated to the nearest two decimals in the relevant column of the application. Where no percentage of marks is awarded by the university, but only CGPA/OGPA is awarded, the same should be converted into percentage, besides indicating the CGPA/OGPA in the application
The result of the qualifying examination, i.e. graduation should have been announced by the university on or before 01st July, 2011
Candidates should have obtained the specified IBPS score in each test and/in aggregate in the common written examination conducted for probationary officers/management trainees in 2011-12. Candidates should be able to produce the score card in support of the scores mentioned in the online application form, if called for further selection process such as interview
The cut off score shown above is only for the purpose of eligibility for applying. However, bank reserves its right to adopt the cut off score depending upon the suitability based on the number of candidates available for the number of vacancies declared

Relaxation in upper age limit: SC/ST candidates by 5 years; OBC candidates by 3 years; PwD by 10 years; Ex-Servicemen and Commissioned Officers, including ECO’s/SSCO’S who have rendered at least 5 years military service and have been released on completion of assignment (including those whose assignment is due to be completed within the next one year from the last date for receipt of application) other than by way of dismissal or discharge on account of misconduct or inefficiency or on account of physical disability attributable to military service or on being declared as invalid, by 5 years for selection through written test and interview and by 3 years plus period of service in armed forces for selection through interview only, subject to his not exceeding the age of 50 years; all persons who have ordinarily been domiciled in Kashmir Division of J&K State during 01.01.1980 and 31.121989 by 5 years

Through CBS at any of the branches of Syndicate bank, by means of a payment challan as per the format given on the bank’s website
Through NEFT at any bank branch
Demand drafts, cheques, money orders, postal orders, pay orders, banker’s cheques, postal stamps etc will not be accepted
The payment towards application fee through CBS/NEFT can be made between 02nd January, 2012 and 16th January, 2012
Application once made will not be allowed to be withdrawn and fee once paid will not be refunded under any circumstances nor can it be held in reserve for any other future selection process
Selection procedure: Selection for the post of Probationary Officer will be based on the total weighted score in the common written examination (CWE) conducted by IBPS in September 2011/November 2011 and the marks scored in the interview. The candidates belonging to SC/ST/OBC/PwD will be given relaxation in marks as per extant govt guidelines
Service bond: The selected candidate shall be required to execute a service bond undertaking to serve the Bank for a period of 2 years from the date of joining the bank failing which they shall pay an amount of Rs 1.00 lakh (Rs one lakh only) to the bank
Interview: Depending upon the number of vacancies, the bank reserves the right to call only those candidates who have sufficiently high IBPS score in the stipulated common written examination for interview
Interview centres: The interview will be held at various centres and the address of the venue will be advised in the call letters. The address of the venues will also be displayed in the bank’s website one week before the dates for commencement of interviews
How to apply: Candidates are required to apply on-line through website www.syndicatebank.in. No other means/mode of application will be accepted
Candidates are required to have a valid personal e-mail ID (as specified in the on-line application form while applying for common written examination (CWE) conducted in September 2011/November 2011 is kept active during the currency of this recruitment project

HOW TO APPLY
Candidates can apply online only from 30.12.2011 to 21.01.2012 and no other mode of
application will be accepted.

Pre-Requisites for Applying Online
Before applying online, candidates should
(i) scan their photograph and signature ensuring that both the photograph and signature
are within the required specifications as given in Annexure II.
(ii) keep the application fee/ intimation charges remittance details (Transaction details
such as Transaction No., Branch Name & Code etc.) ready in case of Offline Payment i.e.
CBS / Keep the necessary details/documents ready if desired to make online payment
of the requisite application fee/ intimation charges.
(iii) have a valid personal email ID, which should be kept active till the declaration of results of
this round of CWE. IBPS may send call letters for Written Examination etc. through the
registered e-mail ID. Under no circumstances, a candidate should share/mention e-mail ID
to / of any other person. In case a candidate does not have a valid personal e-mail ID,
he/she should create his/her new e-mail ID before applying on-line and must maintain that
email account.

(1) Payment of fees/ intimation charges via the ONLINE MODE
(i) The application form is integrated with the payment gateway and the payment process can
be completed by following the instructions.
(ii) The payment can be made by using only Master/ Visa Debit or Credit cards or Internet
Banking by providing information as asked on the screen.
(iii) On successful completion of the transaction, an e-receipt will be generated.
(iv) Candidates are required to take a print of the e-receipt which will have to be submitted with
the Call Letter at the time of written examination.
CALL LETTERS FOR WRITTEN EXAMINATION
The date of the Written Examination has been tentatively fixed for 11.03.2012(Sunday). However,
the date of Examination shall be intimated in the Call Letter along with the Centre/Venue address.

All eligible candidates should download their call letter and Information Handout from the IBPS’s
website www.ibps.in by entering his / her details registration Number and Password/Date of Birth,
after 28.02.2012. No hard copy of the call letter/ Information Handout will be sent by post.
